About

One family. Forty years on Long Island.

Tommy started Tommy's Tunes in 1985. Four decades later, his three sons run it with him.

1985

It started with one DJ and a lot of Saturdays.

In 1985, Tommy Masino loaded a car with records and gear and started booking Long Island weddings one Saturday at a time. No showroom. No team. Just a guy who could read a room and keep a dance floor full.

Word got around. One party became a referral, the referral became a calendar, and the calendar became a business that's still here forty years later.

Tommy Masino today
40+

Forty years on, still on the road most weekends.

These days the company runs out of its Selden showroom, the home it grew into years ago, where couples can see the setups, hear the sound, and meet the people who'll actually be at their event.

The team has grown from one DJ to more than thirty: MCs, DJs, live musicians, photo booth attendants, and the crew loading trucks before sunrise. Tommy's still out there most weekends. He's worked weddings for couples whose parents he DJ'd, MC'd four-generation Mitzvahs, and lost count of the Quinceañeras.

DJ companies are easy to start and most don't last five years. Tommy's Tunes has lasted forty for one reason: every event still goes out with someone whose name you can pronounce and whose face you've seen.

The next chapter

My three sons.

They grew up in the back of the truck. Now they run the company with their dad.

Joe, TJ, and Dom Masino grew up inside this business, riding along to load-ins and watching their dad work a room. They never really left. Today all three work alongside him, carrying Tommy's Tunes into its next forty years.

Joe Masino

Joe Masino

The one you'll meet first. Joe sits down with couples, walks them through it, and works the showcases. If you've toured the showroom or talked through your wedding, odds are it was Joe across the table.

TJ Masino

TJ Masino

The engine room. TJ figures out who works which event and what gear rides on which truck, week after week. He's the reason the right people and the right equipment show up at the right party.

Dom Masino

Dom Masino

A little of everything, and usually the first voice you'll hear. Dom holds down the front desk, answers the first emails, and pitches in on sales and scheduling. Ask him what he does and the honest answer is "whatever today needs."
