If what you want to know isn't here, call 631-732-5886 and ask. We would rather answer it than have you guess.
We quote every night individually rather than publishing a price list, because a 75-guest afternoon and a 250-guest Saturday in a ballroom aren’t the same job. Send us your date and venue and you’ll have a real quote inside one business day.
Price comes up unprompted in more than twenty of our 250 reviews, and every one of those is five stars.
Someone from the office calls you back within one business day. A real person, not an automated reply with a price list attached.
From there you either come and sit down with us or do the whole thing over the phone, whichever suits you. Checking a date doesn’t commit you to anything.
As early as you can. There’s no cutoff and we’ll always try, but the further out you book, the more likely you are to get both your date and the specific DJ and MC you want.
It depends on the package. Some include four hours and others five and a half. Every package lists its hours on the packages page, and a representative can walk you through the differences.
There’s an overtime rate that depends on your package, though it rarely comes to that. One of our entertainment representatives can go over the specifics.
Appointments are at our Selden headquarters, which has a full showroom. It’s a no-pressure visit. You can see the equipment, the lighting and the TVs, and try the photo booth yourself.
We walk you through the whole process from signing up to your wedding day, go through every package, and show you videos and photos from the venue where you’re actually getting married.
Yes. If you can’t come in for an in-person presentation, we do FaceTime, Zoom or phone appointments before booking.
Two locations, Selden and Melville. Selden is our main headquarters and has the showroom where appointments and presentations take place.
We email you about two months before your event. One month before your date you come in for a final meeting, where we lock in your music selections, your timeline, and the details of anything in your package, like photo booth templates and layouts.
Most of the customization happens at that meeting.
Planning normally runs through our entertainment representatives rather than the performers themselves. If you ask and your DJ or MC has availability, we can arrange a meeting or a phone call in the lead-up to your wedding.
You hand in your music paperwork at the final meeting. You can also share a playlist instead of a paper list: we take both Spotify and Apple Music.
The forms are on the forms page if you’d rather start early.
Around 25 at most. Keeping the list that size leaves your DJ room to read the crowd, see what guests are responding to, and adjust on the fly. A list much longer than that starts working against you.
We give you ideas at the final meeting. If you have nothing in mind for a particular dance or formality, we walk you through the options.
Our playlists by moment are a good place to start before you come in.
Yes. Your DJ will work them in while keeping the floor moving.
Either. It’s your call, and we set it before the night.
In most cases yes, including something written or recorded personally. Confirm it with one of our entertainment representatives so we can make sure it works on the night.
As long as sheet music exists for it, generally yes.
If you want it to sound close to the original, book at least two musicians. One on their own can sound thin, where two or three fill the sound out.
About an hour and a half before your start time, to set up.
We bring separate sound systems for the ceremony and cocktail hour. That means nobody is dragging equipment from room to room between segments while your guests wait.
Attire appropriate for a wedding, typically a button-down shirt and blazer.
Usually a slow song first, with couples invited out. Once the tempo picks up our MC gives the room light encouragement to stay out there, and keeps interacting with guests through the night.
You will never be left without a DJ or MC. Another member of our team steps in, and we tell you about the change directly rather than letting you find out on the day.
Yes. We carry $1 million in liability insurance. If your venue needs documentation from your vendors, tell us and we’ll take care of it.
Yes, to every event.
Nassau County and Suffolk County, which covers essentially every venue on Long Island. We also do backyard events.
Almost certainly. We work venues throughout Nassau and Suffolk and have been in essentially every room in the area.
At your appointment we can pull up videos and photos from your specific venue. There’s also a list of the rooms we know by heart.
No. We cover any event that needs entertainment: corporate events, Sweet 16s, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, birthdays, anniversaries, graduations and christenings.
Yes, for multicultural events. Tell us what you need when you check your date.
Forty-seven things, all of which pair with any package: live saxophonists, percussionists and string quartets; four kinds of photo booth; audio and video phone booths; intelligent lighting and illuminated towers; cold sparklers; dancing on a cloud; and live event photography on screens through the night.
Ask. We keep up with what’s current in the industry, so if there’s something specific you have in mind that you don’t see listed, talk to an entertainment representative and we’ll tell you what’s possible.
Reading a crowd. We customize the music to the group actually in front of us, across different cultural backgrounds and age ranges, and when a style or genre is working we know how to stay with it and pick songs that complement it.
We have a wide enough roster to match different styles, and our MCs know when to interact with the room and when to stay out of the way.
Whatever it is, someone here has been asked it before.
